Angelo State University is a leading public university located in San Angelo, Texas. It was established as San Angelo College in 1928. It received university status in 1967 and awarded the first bachelor's and master's degrees in 1969, the same year the university adopted its current name. Transportation in the city

Ram Tram provides FREE public transportation to Angelo State University students. Faculty and staff are also welcome to ride. Students must present their OneCard to board. There are two routes available. On Fridays and Saturdays, the Blue Route runs, and on Tuesdays, the Gold Route runs.

The Management Instruction and Research Center occupies over 6,000 acres (24 km2) on the O.C. Through these facilities, a wide variety of programs in animal science and biology as well as management and research are supported.
