Auburn University

All students have access to the Tiger Transit bus system, which runs routes both inside and outside of Auburn University. To choose the route that will take students where they need to go, students just need to download the TransLoc app. There are several bike routes and sidewalks in Auburn, making it a very walkable city. You may easily get around on and off campus when the weather is nice by using your bike or walking.

For the sake of the university community, Auburn provides a thorough public safety program and keeps a visible presence on all of the campuses.

• The Ralph Brown Draughon Library bears the name of the former president of Auburn University, Ralph Brown Draughon. The RBD Library today contains more than 4850 study spaces and other amenities created to meet the needs of Auburn students, teachers, and staff in terms of research, teaching, and study.
• The Library also provides support to other Auburn University instructors, staff, and students, particularly those who study home economics, nursing, pharmacy, and the biological and agricultural sciences.
• The services and materials the Veterinary Medical Library provides are largely for the College of Veterinary Medicine's teaching, clinical use, and research. Additionally, the library supports other Auburn University professors, employees, & students, particularly those who study biology, nursing, pharmacy, and home economics.
• Camp War Eagle & Successfully Orienting Students are two of Auburn's student orientation programs. Freshmen and their guests are allowed to participate in Camp War Eagle, which helps them acclimate to college life at Auburn University. The course Successfully Orienting Students is intended for college students who are moving from another university to Auburn. Additionally, first-year Auburn students have the chance to take part in learning communities and seminars with other first-year students. 
• Welcome Week & Heyday are two other notable on-campus occasions and activities. A multi-day series of events called Welcome Week is held on the first few days of the semester to welcome both new & returning students. One of Auburn's oldest customs, dating back to World War II, is Hey Day when everyone on campus dons name tags and says hello to one another.

The Student Government Association, Emerge Student Leadership Program, Black Student Union, University Program Council, International Student Organization, and Graduate Student Council are a few of the campus groups headquartered inside the university's Office of Student Involvement. 
• A variety of charitable organizations, including the Beat Bama Food Drive, The Big Event, and the Auburn University Dance Marathon, are also housed in Auburn's Student Involvement office.
• A student-run publication, The Auburn Plainsman, covers Auburn University & the surrounding area. The paper has won more National Pacemaker Awards from the Associated Collegiate Press than any other student news organization, making it the most prestigious student publication.
• Students have access to peer tutoring study partners, The Miller Writing Center, additional training sessions, and academic counselors that specialize in colleges. To better meet their individual learning needs, students may also ask for academic assistance through the Office of Accessibility.
• The goal of the Auburn University Inclusion & Diversity office is to support Auburn University in achieving its strategic planning goal of "building diversity as a core value." This office oversees a cross-cultural center, women's initiatives, education and training programs, and student excellence programs. The Presidential Task Force for Opportunity & Equity, which is still active at Auburn, was created to address inequalities in hiring and retention.
