Student life

Bowling Green State University campus is spread out over 1,338 acres. It has 116 structures and is a residential campus. Kreischer Hall on this site can house around 1200 students. In response to the rise in enrollment, the University built a new residence hall next to Offenhauer Towers in 2011. Over time, there were more than 800 pupils enrolled. Later, in 1929, the college of liberal arts and the college of education began to offer four-year degree programmes. The institution established the College of Business and was granted university status in 1935. In 1963, the University conferred its first PhD degree in English. The administrative office and virtual classes are located on the University's historic Campus.

  • The academic community's beating centre is the Jerome Library. The BGSU Libraries are home to collections of more than six million objects, including books, journals, magazines, microforms, official documents, sound recordings, and other research materials. 
  • The offices for student life and campus involvement, together with about 40 student organizations, are housed in the new Bowen-Thompson Student Union, which was reopened in early 2002.
