Independently public-funded Burman University was established in 1907 in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada. Burman University, the oldest University of Alberta, is accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association. The University offers 35 major or track choices in bachelor's degree programs under the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and Faculty of Science. The University is sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC). Burman University welcomes students from 37 countries. Burman University campus is on top of a hill overlooking Barnett Lake Lacombe, Alberta. The Campus has 17 buildings, including Parkview Adventist Academy (for grade 10-12 students), the Chan Shun Science Center, the administration building, the College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, the College Heights Christian School (for K-9 students), West Hall (arts, English, and music), the McKibbin Centre (education), the Physical Education center, and a few other buildings.

  • It offers a wide range of Athletic teams such as Acronaires, Basketball, Futsal, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, and Hockey to join and play in!
  • It has more than 30 clubs including Business Club, drama club, French club, etc. that help students find their interests.
  • It provides spiritual learning to students by conducting several spiritual programs on the Campus.

Burman University offers on-campus accommodation for all its students.

  • The students are provided with home insurance and basic care at the housing services of the University.
  • It is surrounded by scenic beauty, monuments, historic places, and other attractions for students and staff members to access easily.
  • Burman University campus has three residential halls: Lakeview Hall, Riverton Hall, and Maple Hall. All halls are co-gender dormitories. 
  • The University campus has two separate wings housing women and men, with common areas in the center lobby, chapel, kitchenette, laundry room, and TV room.
  • All the rooms are fully furnished for students, except for linens and toiletries.
