California State University—Stanislaus is a public university in Turlock, Stanislaus County, California, founded in 1957. It is the only campus in the system that now offers a bachelor's degree in cognitive studies. The campus is 228 acres in size and is located in a suburban area. 

The university grants students with California State University Courses of more than 171 undergraduate majors, minors, and concentrations are available, as well as master's degrees in 14 programmes, an Executive and Online MBA, a doctorate in education, certificates in teacher preparation and professional areas, and over 2,000 courses.

Transportation in the city

Turlock Transit services are provided to Stan State students via the ASI Student Resource Advisor. Monte Vista & Niagara and Geer & Regis are the nearest stations to California State University Stanislaus. Merced Regional Airport (MCE / KMCE) is the closest major airport.

  • Agricultural Studies, History, Ethnic Studies, Criminal Justice, Political Science and Public Administration; Anthropology, Geography, Economics and Social Sciences; Child Development and Psychology and Sociology are housed at Dorothy & Bill Bizzini Hall (previously the Classroom Building).
  • Front Office & Community Center, Community spaces, such as the Academic Hub and pools, Village 1 and Village 3 Unit and Village Café are student residential areas and dining spaces.
  • The Vasche Library's Tutoring/Writing Center provides individual and group tutoring. Essay design, organization, development, rewriting, writing throughout the curriculum, ESL, and WPST test preparation are among the services offered.
  • Its academic specialities are organized into four colleges: Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences College, Business Administration College, Education, Kinesiology and Social Work College, and Science College.
  • Currently, the library has over 370,000 volumes, 841 print journal subscriptions, access to 141 electronic databases, and an increasing number of electronic journals, video recordings, and compact discs. There is also a Children's collection at the University Library, with over 5,900 titles of children's literature.

Student life

  • There are numerous student services at California State University—Stanislaus that strive to help students flourish academically, physically, and mentally.
  • Stanislaus State competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in Division II of the NCAA (CCAA). Stanislaus State offers 14 men's and women's sports during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Stan State also has a competitive cheerleading team that has competed in the NCA National Championships. Stanislaus and San Bernardino have competed strongly as conference rivals.
  • Students from all disciplines can join student organizations such as Degenerate Art, Warrior Film Review, Voices for Children, Village Council, Student California Teachers Association, Penumbra, EOP/SBP Scholars, APICS/OM, A Day of Hope, Agriculture Ambassadors, Animeikyou, College Panhellenic Association, and Community Awareness and Research Education.

On campus accomodation

Stanislaus State's only on-campus student housing neighborhood is the Residential Life Village. The Residence Village has 656 students living in 164 modern, well-appointed suites and apartments.  

  • Nonremedial tutoring, a women's center, placement service, day care, and health services are among the student services provided by California State University—Stanislaus. CSU-Stanislaus also provides campus safety and security services such as 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols.
  • Each apartment contains four bedrooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The Village's flats are all wired for campus network data connections for personal computers and have complimentary cable T.V.
  • A computer lab with free printing, a study lounge, two pools and a spa, a recreation area, a conference room, laundry facilities, a 200-seat eating facility, a sand volleyball court, meeting rooms, and basketball courts are among the amenities.
  • Housing and Residential Life do not manage the residential dining programme; all meal plan fees are collected on behalf of campus food service provider Chartwells "Warrior Eats."
  • Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena (aka Warrior Gym) is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose arena that opened in 1978 and is home to the University's Warriors basketball and volleyball teams. The basketball arena's name was changed to Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena for the 2010–2011 season.

The mission of the SERSCA Program is to provide resources and opportunities to California State University. These Stanislaus students would not otherwise be available to engage in a comprehensive, multi-faceted, co-curricular experience led by faculty mentors. The SERSCA Program provides student assistance for engagement in research, scholarship, and creative activity (RSCA) from inception through dissemination through assistantships, mini-grants, the Student Research Competition, and travel grants.
