Christian Brothers University Courses provides 70 major and minor courses under bachelor's, master's, professional, and graduate certificates, among others.   • It also provides students with sports and recreational opportunities to keep them fit and active. CBU is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Gulf South Conference. Baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, and soccer are all Buccaneer sports. The Lady Buccaneer sports include basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball.

Research opportunities at university

The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness monitors numerous data points across all aspects of Christian Brothers University's operations to ensure that we meet our mission of providing a high-quality education to all. Students can create a one-of-a-kind study opportunity by combining courses from multiple areas of study into one degree through the Interdisciplinary Studies Program. All CBU undergraduates complete general education requirements, which provide a solid foundation in English composition, math, science, and the arts. Then, students collaborate with academic advisors to design their research plans.


Internship opportunities (Part time job opportunities)

Internships are an essential component of the college experience. CBU has over 200 approved internship sites throughout the Memphis area. Internships allow students to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world situations. Students will also gain work skills that will serve them well in their future careers. All internships provide students with career-related experience, but each internship is unique. Internships can be paid for academic credit or both. 

Students can devote 10-20 hours per week, and paid internships pay between 10 and 20 USD (791 to 1,583 INR) per hour. Internships can be part-time during the semester or full-time during the summer.CBU offers study abroad semesters in Australia, Brazil, China, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, and Spain as a member of the Lasallian Consortium.

Christian Brothers University provides excellent career services. It assists students in obtaining internships, training, and full-time job opportunities in the United States. New students must take placement tests based on their intended major and ACT/SAT scores.
