Dalhousie University

Students at Dalhousie have access to a unique transit pass called the Universal Bus Pass (UPass). The pass price is covered by university tuition. Your DalCard is covered by the UPass sticker. To ride Community Transit buses and Halifax Transit buses from September to April, just present your card.

The libraries offer prompt, context-sensitive assistance in person or online with five libraries, two learning commons, archival collections, a Geographical Information Sciences (GIS) Centre, and a Copyright Office.

• The Dalhousie Libraries run a system for academics to submit reading lists in Brightspace for electronic reserves. It offers copyright clearance as needed and aids in importing the documents into Brightspace. 
• In schools, librarians impart information literacy lessons pertaining to your impending responsibilities.
• By providing a little bit of the unexpected, most notably a Seed Library, access to 3D printing, and maker space workshops, it promotes chance discovery.
• On its campuses in Studley and Truro, Dalhousie offers health centers, as well as Sexton, offers counseling services.

Three campuses-the Sexton, Carleton, and Studley campuses—as well as the Agricultural campus, which houses the Faculty of Agriculture, makeup Dalhousie University.

On Halifax's Studley campus is where Dalhousie's major athletic complex is situated. Dalplex contains a fieldhouse, squash and racquetball courts, a big exercise hall with cardio and strength equipment, an indoor pool, and training studios.

• On the Sexton Campus, in the heart of Halifax, is where you'll find Sexton Gym. The Sexton Gym has a newly renovated weight and cardio area, a new studio area, and a gym.
• Your student union and voice on campus in Halifax and Nova Scotia is the Dalhousie Student Union (DSU). The DSU's goals are to advocate for students' interests both internally and outside, to support accessibility and high standards in education, and to offer all students services that are reasonably priced.
• The DSU offers a range of services inside the Student Union Building (SUB) to improve your time at Dalhousie.
• The Agricultural Campus has a fantastic athletic and recreational program, and there are many more chances throughout the year to participate in unique activities like College Royal, Winter Carnival, food drives, and more.
• Numerous clubs and events that connect students to their cultural heritage are offered by the DISA (Dalhousie International Students Association).
• The institution offers 16 intramural sports and teams, in addition to 16 Tier One Sports Clubs and 13 Tier Two Sports Teams with their own competitions.

Eight distinctive houses at Dalhousie University give students a wide range of options for on-campus living.

 The Halifax campus of Dalhousie University includes eight residence halls and apartments, while the Truro campus has four. The on-campus housing is reserved for about 2,600 students. Accessibility-required students receive enough support in relation to accommodations and other residential facilities.
