Eastern Michigan University was established in 1849. The university is a research-intensive institute located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 1899 EMU became the first normal school in the United States to offer four-year courses. In addition, the university offers more than 200 courses at the undergraduate level and more than 170 courses at the graduate level. Moreover, students can choose from different Eastern Michigan University courses, like commerce, arts, science, business, health and human services, technology, communication, etc. There are six academic schools at Eastern Michigan University and eight satellite campuses where students can pursue different courses.
