Student life

Fairleigh Dickinson University has two primary campuses in the United States. The Florham Campus in Morris County, New Jersey, emphasizes a well-rounded academic experience with various extracurricular activities.

  • FDU has different sports clubs and athletic programs like Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball and more to promote the participation of its students in various games. It has a Taekwondo club and a Racquetball court as well.
  • Florham campus is primarily a residential campus with a strong student life program, standard amenities and multiple activities like workshops, homecoming activities, family weekend  and more for all its students.
  • The campus has various student clubs and organisations. Students can be a part of any club. They get to choose from multiple clubs like the accounting society, FDU marketing club, finance and marketing club, women in the business club etc.

On campus accomodation

FDU has excellent On-Campus accommodation for its students. At the Florham Campus, three of every four undergraduate students choose to live in the University’s residence halls. There are five residence halls, including Village hall, Park Avenue hall, Rutherford Hall, and two Twombly halls, and each residence hall offers unique amenities.

  • Residential halls are traditionally styled with coed by floor, double rooms and shared bathroom facilities. The Village hall has nine suite-style buildings, each of which has six to seven-person suites with a shared suite bathroom and double bedrooms. The Village residence hall is fully air-conditioned and has a standard shared living room.
  • Park Avenue residence hall has 73 four-person suites, each with its living room and kitchen and Park Avenue hall is reserved for juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Rutherford Hall offers independently climate-controlled double rooms, each with a private bathroom.
  • Apart  from  basic amenities, all the residency halls have launeeless and internet links to the campus network, free in-room cable.
  • All buildings are smoke-free, and all residence halls have card-access front doors and room doors; each hall has security cameras inside and out of the building.
  • Near the residence halls, there are a variety of outdoor courts and playing fields which includes a volleyball pit, lighted basketball courts and a softball field for evening play.
  • The average rent for on-campus accommodation ranges from 1,778 to 2,125 USD (INR 135,960 to 162,495) per month.
