There are numerous ways to get to Howard University, including taking the bus, train, shuffling, or renting a motorcycle. The city also has a well-developed and efficient public transportation system. Furthermore, Howard University's shuttle service is available to all Howard University and Howard University Hospital members. Visitors can use the service when conducting business within the Howard Community. Students can use the live shuttle tracker to track shuttle buses. Bicycles and cycle stands are available on campus if you use public transportation. On the other hand, students must provide their locks and are free to have their bicycles.

Internship opportunities (Part time job opportunities)

Internships are accessible to first-year, and sophomore undergraduate students enrolled full-time at Howard University in a degree-granting program. The University accepts applications from students of all majors and disciplines and does not require prior museum experience or art history coursework. Participants will receive an emergence to art history and research methodologies, as well as insights into museum work, throughout the two-year internship. Interns will be exposed to various museum careers, such as curating, conservation, research, archival work, and library services, through seminars, mentoring, and individual department projects (both at the National Gallery and the Howard University Gallery of Art).
