Manhattan College is a prestigious Catholic Private Liberal Arts College that is situated in the Bronx in New York. The College was established in the year 1853. Manhattan College was originally located in Manhattan in New York City but in 1922 the authorities relocated the college to the Riverdale section of the Bronx.

Transportation in the city

Manhattan College is located in the stunning city of New York. It lies between the two major highways of the city, the Henry Hudson Parkway and the Major Deegan Expressway. The most convenient and nearest station from the campus is the MTA Subway. Bus routes like 7,10 and 24 are also available to the campus and the nearest stops are Riverdale Avenue and W.239th Street.

Every residential hall has an appointed residential directory known as RA, which mainly coordinates the residence life and serves as a liaison. Students have to sign an application on the website of the Manhattan college known as Home Sweet Home to avail of on-campus accommodation. Students have to deposit an amount of 18,440 USD (14,15,887 INR) for availing of on-campus accommodations.

Manhattan College has three housing options: Traditional Residence Halls, Suites and Apartments. Traditional Residence Halls are generally allocated for the freshman and sophomores. The Traditional Residence Halls are further divided into Chrysostom and Jasper. Horan and Lee are the two halls dedicated especially for Suite style housing. Suites offer more independence and privacy to the students and henceforth it is more popular among the upperclassmen. Suits Style Housings have a capacity of accommodating approximately around 1250 students with a total of 21 floors. Apartments are for those students who want to avoid interacting with private landlords.
