Marquette University is a private university that was incorporated in 1881. It is a Catholic and Jesuit university located in the center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rev. Jacques Marquette S.J., a French Jesuit explorer and missionary whose 17th-century journeys are an important part of the history of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Midwest, is honored as the namesake of Marquette University. 

The University offers over 90 undergraduate and postgraduate courses through the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business Administration, the Diederich College of Communication, the School of Dentistry, the College of Education, and the Opus College of Engineering. The University has more than 11,294 including 519 international students enrolled students across various departments.
