MIT students can avail of the MBTA Public Transit Pass. Using this, the students get flexibility, ease, and variety of transport at the center. With this, MIT subsidizes 50% of the cost of an MBTA pass. Further, this pass is available for the students either for a month or even as a semester bus or subway pass. The Access MIT Pass is available for students, staff, and faculty members, allowing free, unrestrained travel in the bus networks and MBTA subway. This Public Transit Pass help users avail of additional benefits such as subsidized parking and reimbursements on private commutations. Its types are as follows:

At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan), international students are offered on-campus accommodation within the 19 residential halls of the school. Every undergraduate and graduate house offers a unique social network, a distinct environment and a student lifestyle. In partnership with Residential Education, HRS staff work collaboratively with students and their house teams/ house governments to ensure they have the infrastructure and resources required to build strong communities. 

HRS provides housing operations for all MIT graduate and undergraduate residential facilities, including housing assignments, repair/ maintenance, communications, summer conference housing, and residential security.
