Transportation in the city

There are countless ways to get to Middlebury College, including taking the bus, train, walking, or renting a motorcycle. The city has an efficient and well-developed public transportation system. Middlebury students, staff, and faculty can ride for free on regular scheduled TVT buses around town and to the Middlebury College Snow Bowl with their Middlebury ID. TVT also provides commuter buses to Burlington, Rutland, and other nearby towns. Staff and faculty can ride the commuter bus for free if they obtain a bus sticker from Human Resources. Students must pay for commuter buses. The Student Government Association provides discounted chartered buses for students traveling to Boston, New York City, the Burlington International Airport, and the Burlington Greyhound Station during most recess periods.
