Founded in 1966 for the purpose of higher education, Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is located in the port city of Hamilton in Ontario. Funded and accredited by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities, it is one of the members of the ACCC (Association of Community Colleges of Canada).

The Stoney Creek Campus is one of the four locations of Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology, the other three being City School, Institute for Applied Health Sciences and Fennell Campus. The Stoney Creek Campus Library has TECH BARs for the students to take the help of technology in studying and learning.

Since there are no accommodation facilities on campus at Stoney Creek, the students have to look for alternatives to it. There is a Facebook group for Mohawk College Off-Campus Housing but this is not affiliated with the college in any way.
