Transportation in the city

New York Institute of Technology, Vancouver, has no particular in-campus bus services. Students travel by bike, shared taxi, bus, and train networks.

C-TRAN's #19 Salmon Creek bus route in the city offers service to the NYIT Vancouver campus. Lower Columbia CAP offers Rural Transportation service between Longview and Vancouver Monday through Friday, six times a day. 

Students, staff, and faculty of WSU Vancouver are eligible for the C-TRAN BackPASS. It gives them unlimited access to C-TRAN local and limited bus service (not valid on Express or C-VAN services). Along with the buses, students and staff can also use private taxis and get down at Salmon Creek Avenue to reach the college premises and residences.

The University provides off-campus accommodation at GEC, the largest off-campus student residence in Vancouver, providing the best amenities to enhance the academic journey. 81% of the NYIT Vancouver interns receive continued employment offers, and around 28% of the undergraduates are first-generation students. 

NYIT has a particular Internship Certificate Program that helps students gain practical knowledge before stepping into the corporate world. New York Tech Vancouver accepts applications from Cybersecurity, EM, and MBA Students for the ICP Program each term. 

Additionally, the school also provides the option of various Practicums, which is an experiential educational opportunity where students get to work either with the external employer or with the faculty on multiple projects.
