Oregon Health and Science University is a public research university established in 1887 in the city of Portland, Oregon, United States. It was developed as the University of Oregon Medical Department, and later established as an independent, self-governed institution. It is affiliated with the certifications of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The medical programmes at OHCU are some of the highly ranked programmes by renowned organisations. 

There are approximately 3,000 students with 78 international students that make up 2.6% of the total student body.
