It has a satellite campus in Manhattan and an implication campus at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica, New York. The school was founded in 1887, focusing on engineering, architecture, and visual arts. There were campus facilities such as a learning and access center, dining services, and a health center. Transportation in the city

There are multiple ways to get to Pratt Institute, including taking the bus, train, walking, or renting a motorcycle. The city has an efficient and well-developed public transportation system. Pratt Institute's collaboration with NJ TRANSIT provides students with more transportation possibilities and opportunities. Full-time undergraduate and graduate students at Pratt Institute can receive a rail, bus, or light rail monthly ticket for 25% off the regular monthly pass price when they enroll online through NJ TRANSIT's Quik-Tik program. Students must be full-time and can only purchase passes between home and school. Enrollment will be rejected if you enter another location.

The Quik-Tik service combines the comfortability of auto-pay with online account management. Your monthly student pass will be mailed to you, and your credit card will be automatically charged.


Services offered by the university

  • Stabile Hall, Pantas Hall, Willoughby Hall, and Ryerson are one of the undergraduate residence halls. Pratt's graduate residence hall is Grand Avenue. On campus, Pratt has over 1500 students.
  • Students have access to an exercise facility, a large gym for tennis, basketball, indoor track, dance studios, and the opportunity to participate in varsity sports at the Athletic Resource Center.
  • Pratt's Brooklyn Campus Library is housed in a 1896 landmark building designed by the Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company in the Clinton Hill neighborhood.
  • In the East Building, you can see the steam engines and other Brooklyn memorabilia and speak with Conrad Milster, Chief Engineer, and steam enthusiast.

Student life

  • The Office of Student Participation organizes and assists students in planning social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities and facilitating Orientation for incoming students.
  • Pratt's student programs and events are intended to contribute to each student's overall education while meeting social and recreational needs.
  • Students are in charge of managing their group activities, getting experience in community and social affairs, and contributing to Institute policy.
  • Students are represented on the Board of Trustees, trustee committees, and the Student Judiciary, among other Institute decision-making bodies.
  • The discount vouchers can be bought in the Student Involvement office on the lower level of the Main Building.
  • Each voucher costs 4 USD (320 INR) and can be used for one ride for up to four passengers within the boundaries of Ashland Place, Flushing Avenue, Marcy Avenue, and Fulton Street. The vouchers are for Pratt students only, and each student is limited to buying five vouchers at one time.

On campus accomodation

Pratt Institute provides on-campus accommodation for all interested candidates. However, whether students live on campus or with other local inhabitants is entirely up to them.

 

On Campus Accommodation Description 

 

  • Pratt Institute maintains six residence halls and 26 townhouses accommodating over 1900 students.  
  • All Pratt residence halls are co-ed; male and female residents share the same floors and living community.
  • The Pratt residential campus is divided into two administrative areas, North Campus and South Campus, each with its own Assistant Director for Residential Life. 
  • The South Campus encompasses Emerson Place, Leo J. Pantas, Vincent A. Stabile, and Esther Lloyd-Jones halls. Most first-year students reside in these halls. 
  • Willoughby Hall and Grand Street in downtown Residence are located on the North Campus. They are home to most upper-class students (both new and continuing students) and all graduate students.
