Transportation in the city

Since Rhodes is a tiny campus, walking is the most popular method of transportation. However, there are also parks, stores, and restaurants nearby.

More than 200 miles of bike infrastructure are available in Memphis to keep you secure. The Vollintine & Evergreen Greenline connects the corner of University and Jackson with the Crosstown Concourse, while the Memphis Greenline travels from Midtown to Germantown.

On Jackson and N. Parkway, three important MATA Bus routes stop outside the walls. With a student discount and using these routes, you may travel downtown for just 1.34 USD (107 INR). You can also purchase a month-long 31-day or 7-day FastPass for INR 1032.

Research opportunities at university

The Science Faculty’s primary activities include postgraduate education and research. Total weighted outputs—research publications and graduating Master’s and Doctoral students—rose by 96% between 2003 and 2012. Between 2003 and 2013, there was a 108 percent increase in the number of postgraduates (MSc & Ph.D.) graduating and an 88 percent increase in the number of articles (2003-2012). It has been awarded degrees to 107 Master’s students and 38 PhDs in April 2017.

It has two A-rated scientists and 47 academic staff members with NRF ratings.

Placement - Companies and average salaries offered

Chinese, French, German, or Spanish language AP exam takers who scored a 4 or 5 will obtain 4 credits.  Both the placement scores above the 201 level and a high intermediate oral and writing proficiency score on a face-to-face test with a language professor are considered proof of competency. 

A student who scores a 4 or 5 on an AP language exam but does not demonstrate competency based on the placement test and faculty clearance does not receive credit for the AP exam and must enroll in a suitable four-credit language course with a number higher than 201 to do so.
