The Saint Joseph’s College of Maine located in Standish, Maine, is a private Catholic college established in 1912 by The Sisters of Mercy. It is Maine's only Catholic college. It has 2,000 undergraduate students on a 474 acres campus every year and is located alongside the shoreline of Sebago Lake.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) are all affiliated with the college.
  • The Campus Activities Board (CAB) represents the student body and their on-campus activities interests. CAB organizes a number of activities throughout the academic year, the most notable of which is the annual Spring Fling. Some of the popular clubs in the University are the Business Club, Gat Straight Transgender Alliance, Esports and Habitat for Humanity/Rotaract among 30 clubs and organizations in the campus.

Research opportunities at university

  • Experience-Based Learning

Students in the Environmental Science Semester (ESS) spend the semester engaged in cience, traveling from Nova Scotia to the White Mountains to the Coast of Maine. The College allows students to immerse themselves in the community practice of field science for an entire semester. The course is an expedition of a 10-week “study anear” to some of the most spectacular field laboratories in New England.

Some ongoing researches are Chemistry for the Community, Biology Research and Seminar, COVID wastewater testing and Sebago Lake research.
