The Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is a private, co-educational higher education school in Winona, Minnesota. The University was founded in 1912 and is now one of the largest graduate schools in Minnesota.  It has 1,329 undergraduate students (2020) within a rural environment and a campus area of 350 acres.

The train services like the Winona Transit Service are also effective. Amtrak (Empire Builder route) stops in Winona and connects to Minneapolis and Chicago.

Saint Mary's University has three campuses: Winona, Minneapolis, Rochester, and a remote center in Apple Valley. The campuses provide a plethora of contemporary amenities to ensure that students have a comfortable and happy on-campus experience.

  • Saint Benilde Hall houses 116 male students. Skemp Hall has 105 female residents who live in double rooms. Around 60 men and women live in Saint Joseph's Hall.
  • Coed dorms, men’s doms, women’s dorms and apartments for single students are available.
  • Rooms have moveable beds with extra-long mattresses, built-in wardrobes with dressers, built-in desks, desk chairs, cable and internet hookup
