The large transportation system in Amsterdam includes trams, buses, trains, metros, and ferries. The GVB operates the majority of public transit in Amsterdam. The University of Amsterdam has a 21st-century library, which has all the material that will be useful for your work, study, and conduct research. It is a place that impresses the academic community with its enormous digital collection. It is also the house of a 7 kilometers stretch of books in the humanities collection. 

The University of Amsterdam also provides students with medical services and encourages them to maintain a healthy lifestyle to achieve their academic, personal, and career goals. Health clearance, urgent and primary health care, emergency response, wellness education, and routine healthcare for women are provided by the University.

Student life

Students can engage in athletic activities, student organizations, and student services. The University of Amsterdam has sports centers, medical centers, gathering halls, restaurants, and religious halls. The University of Amsterdam’s  cost of living is in between €935 and €1,500 per month on living expenses. This includes rent but not tuition fees.

On campus accomodation

The University of Amsterdam provides superior quality accommodation in secure and convenient places. The accommodation offers shared rooms, couple rooms, and private rooms. 

Even the cost of fuel, lighting, and heating is included in the rent. It also offers a fully equipped and modern kitchen TV, high-speed internet, wireless, and cable connection. 

On-campus accommodation cost: Monthly rent ranges from EUR 300 and EUR 850 (24,545.37 to 69,545.21 INR), depending on the type of room, amenities, etc. In addition to rent, you are responsible for administrative University of Amsterdam fees, a refundable security deposit, and in some instances, municipal taxes.
