The University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth, fondly known as the UMass Dartmouth or UMassD is a public institution located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts that was founded in 1895. It is one of five campuses and operating subdivisions of the University of Massachusetts. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and it offers over 50 undergraduate programs and 25 master’s degree programs and 12 doctoral programs. The UMassD counts with seven colleges and schools including Charlton College of Business, College of Arts and Science, College of Engineering, College of Nursing, College of Visual and Performing Arts, School of Law, School of Marine Science and Technology and Interdisciplinary Programs.
