About

Situated in Jacksonville, Florida, the University of North Florida (UNF), was established in 1972 as an upper-division college, meant for only juniors and seniors and then started accepting freshmen from the year 1984. The semester-based academy is affiliated to State University System of Florida and is authorized by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, to grant doctorate, masters and baccalaureate degrees to the students. Currently presided by John Delaney, UNF constitutes of six branches which in total, offer fifty-three undergraduate and twenty-eight graduate degrees along with coastal biology, nutrition, music and noted business programs.

UNF ensures students relish their learnings at the campus and thus they provide top-notch facilities for the learners, it considers- 

Library - The Thomas G. Carpenter Library has been constructed in 199,000 square feet and has almost all the learning materials and guides which students would need to pursue their PG and UG. The library has 328 public workstations, 18 group study rooms, 37 carrels, 19 faculty, 25 support staff, over 1.4 million microform units, over 800 videos, 13,000 electronic journals, over 52,000 electronic books, and over 840,000 volumes.

Museum- Museum of Contemporary Art has been acquired by the university as a cultural resource. The association with the museum lets UNF enhance the facility's operations and students’ learning. Credit-bearing art classes and student art shows are planned here in this museum.
