  • The campus is a short walk and trolley ride away from downtown Knoxville, a modern city with small-town charm. UT is situated for outdoor adventure. The front yard is the Tennessee River and the backyard is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
  • The Tennessee Recreation Center for Students (TRECS) boasts basketball courts and a 1/7th-mile indoor circular track. The fitness area includes 80 pieces of cardiovascular and 100 strength training stations, which include free-weight equipment. There are 18 treadmills, and 33 elliptical machines along with an entertainment system that allows the participants to listen to their favorite TV stations and XM radio during their workout.
