University of Tennessee Health Science Center

Students can avail of public and private vehicles to move around the city. Easy renting of vehicles is possible. Students can also use their bikes to commute.  There are several public bus lines that reach UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER -Numbered 1, 12, 2, 36, and 50. 

The Academic Board, the University's primary advisory council on academic affairs, is concerned about the University's faculties' educational activities and the promotion and development of teaching, scholarship, and research.

Library facilities

The Health Sciences Libraries objective is to assist efforts to enhance the health of Tennesseans by providing an environment favorable to student learning and biological information resources needed for teaching, research, service, and patient care.

Medical Service:

• Minor sickness and injury evaluation and treatment
• Prescriptions and their refills
• Regular immunizations
• Laboratory testing
• STD screening
• Annual physicals, including well-woman checks, Pap screenings, and contraception, are recommended.
• Physical examinations for camp, residency, and away rotations
• Vaccinations and travel medicines

Facilities for sports

UTHSC Campus Recreation provides a variety of ways to live a healthy lifestyle, including group exercise, personal training, incentive programs, lectures, and even solitary workouts.

We strongly urge you to lead the healthiest life possible by participating in these delightful activities that enable you to improve yourself via the company of others, connect psychologically, and achieve your physical objectives. Come to the Fitness Center and participate in the Fitness and Wellness Programs.

Clubs for students

Campus Recreation's mission is to promote active, healthy lifestyles, foster leadership development, instill an appreciation for diversity, and enhance interpersonal relationships by providing safe, intentional, and enjoyable activities and facilities focusing on students and the UTHSC surrounding community.

• More than 100 UG and PG courses are offered at the center's six colleges. Dentistry, Medicine, Medical Sciences, Healthcare Practitioners, Pharmacy, and Nursing are all offered at the colleges. Some courses are also available to international students via remote learning.
• Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga each have three campuses. The state-of-the-art skills and computers required are located on the Chattanooga campus.
• Nashville's campus collaborates with St. Thomas Healthcare to provide hands-on instruction in dental and nursing. All six colleges have branches on the Knoxville campus.
• Wi-Fi, a fitness center, lounge rooms, kitchens, 24-hour security, weekly housekeeping, washing, and other common amenities are available at off-campus housing complexes.
• The University does not provide on-campus accommodation. Off-campus housing halls are available to international students. These rooms can be rented alone or in groups. Studio apartments are also available for students. The University can assist you in finding a place to live.
• Currently, students can expect to pay around $788 (INR 61,560) per month as the accommodation costs.
