Transportation in the city

The University of Washington, Bothell is located in  Bothell, Washington and the distance between the city and the university is less than two miles. Students can travel to the university by bus or taxi which lasts for 10 minutes and 3 minutes, respectively. Bus fares range between 1 to 5 USD (79 to 398 INR) while taxiing fares between 6 to 8 USD (477 to 637 INR). However, the university provides students with a U-PASS that offers unlimited rides on the regional bus, link light rail, and Sounder train transit. Alternatively, students can travel to campus by cycle which lasts less than 10 minutes.

  • The university offers three broad categories of classrooms that vary in size, technology, and specialization. Additionally, the campus also includes art studios, lab spaces, computer labs, and science labs. 
  • In addition to academic advising, students can receive one-on-one academic coaching that assists students through learning strategies, time management, test-taking, and workshops, among a few others.

  • The Writing and Communication Center along with the Quantitative Skills Center provides tutoring, one-on-one, and peer consultancy services to all students through their well-trained staff. 
  • Facilitating studies of conservation, biodiversity, and climate change, the Sarah Simonds Green Conservatory is a greenhouse, classroom, and support space for research and public outreach that is accessible to all students and faculty. 
  • Career Services offers students individual career counseling, career labs, seminars, job and internship posting boards, networking events, and many other essential services.

Student life

  • Students can engage in clubs and organizations covering various areas like academics, religion, culture, greek societies, recreation, service, politics, sports, and other special interests. Clubs sponsor a variety of events such as conferences, workshops, and other socializing and networking events. 
  • The Sports and Recreation Complex provides students and faculty with a large synthetic grass multi-purpose field, two synthetic grass tennis courts, one basketball court, along with a sand volleyball court.
  • The university offers summer programs, outdoor wellness trips and events, intramural sports and activities, and gaming facilities. 
  • Considered the student hub, the Activities and Recreation Center is equipped with a fitness center, outdoor gear shop, meeting rooms, multipurpose and event gathering space, gaming tables, food trucks, and other essentials.
