The Valparaiso University, fondly known as the Valpo, is an accredited private university located in Valparaiso, Indiana that was founded in 1859. It is the largest independent Lutheran university in the United States. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and it offers over 70 programs for undergraduate and graduate. The Valpo counts with five undergraduate colleges and two schools including College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the Christ College, the Graduate School and Law School.
