Wheaton College is a private-funded Evangelical Liberal Arts College headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois. Evangelical abolitionists established the college in 1860. Wheaton is one of the first higher-learning institutes in Illinois from where black college students graduated. Wheaton offers more than 40 undergraduate and 18 graduate degrees in diverse disciplines of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The total enrollment of Wheaton College is 2810 students, out of whom 178 are international students. Wheaton College has a lightly selective acceptance rate of 85 percent.

The campus of Wheaton College is a five-minute walk to downtown Wheaton and a 30-minute train ride to downtown Chicago. Thus, students are just a train ride from the third-largest United States city. Moreover, Wheaton comprises two metro stations that run into Chicago on the Union Pacific West Line. The two stations are – Wheaton station and the College Avenue Station.   • Campus Life – The Wheaton college campus sprawls across 80 acres of land and has a suburban setting. Blanchard Hall is the college's main and oldest building with a castle-like limestone structure. Moreover, the entire campus of Wheaton is equipped with an array of facilities such as parking and transportation, locker rooms, lounge areas, etc. In addition, the campus has state-of-the-art facilities and high-tech classrooms, an extensive library, eateries, study halls, lounge areas, etc.

Beamer Student Center of the college is the epicenter of all student organizations and governments and includes various coffee shops, game rooms, etc.
  • Sports Activities – Athletics and sports are two integral aspects of the students' lives at Wheaton College. The athletics team of Wheaton is called the Thunder. They compete in 19 intercollegiate varsity sports, including baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, etc. In addition, the college has a Chuouser Sports and Recreation Complex where students can do an early morning workout, an afternoon swim, or even a late-night game of basketball. It also offers numerous fun activities like climbing, yoga, Pilates, Zumba, etc. Moreover, the basketball stadium of Wheaton has a seating capacity of 2000 people.

On campus accomodation

Wheaton College offers on-campus housing via 4 residence halls, 25 campus houses, and 5 apartment complexes. The residence halls include co-living spaces with separate floors for men and women. In addition, each hall has a distinct occupancy setting for sophomore, junior, and senior students.

  • The residence halls of the college offer single, double, triple, and quad rooms. Some rooms also have four or five-person suites with semi-private suite-style bathrooms. Each residence hall has facilities like a Prayer Chapter, a ping-pong table, a pool table, a Quiet Study Room, and a Community TV room.
  • Wheaton's campus apartments are available for junior and senior undergraduate and graduate students. Four students can live in an apartment. The apartments include a living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and laundry. 
  • Currently, 81 percent of Wheaton College students live on campus.
