A private Christian university, Whitworth University is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Whitworth University was founded in 1890 and now has over 3,000 students enrolled in over 100 graduate and undergraduate programmes.   • Whitworth University is located on a scenic 200-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic, administrative, recreational, and other support facilities. There are also parking lots, footpaths, and wide-open green spaces surrounded by pine trees on the campus.
  • It has a large library with a diverse collection of books, reference materials, journals, databases, newspapers, archives, and records that students and teachers can use for research, learning, and teaching.
  • A chapel, health and counseling centers, IT services, and food points are among the other facilities on the campus. It also provides lodging for students in one of the ten on-campus residence halls.

The institution has committed more than USD $170 million in campus upgrades in recent years due to an increasing student body.

  • Whitworth University's Associated Students administers different clubs on campus and organizes a variety of personal, social, and academic activities and events. It has 21 varsity teams (11 women's and 10 men's) who compete in the Northwest Conference as the Pirates, with sports affiliation from the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

On campus accomodation

Whitworth University provides on-campus housing to its students, ensuring their safety and security 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Arend, Baldwin-Jenkins, Ballard, Boppell, Duvall, and other residence halls are available at the university. On-campus accommodation is also available at the university (Theme Houses).

Each residence hall has its own washing room, which accepts laundry debit cards, coin payments, and/or smartphone payments. Laundry debit cards may be obtained at the HUB adjacent to the ATM, Warren's main lounge, and Oliver Hall's main lounge for $5 plus whatever amount you add to the card.
